The event will be at the infamous Lake Norman State Park on the Itusi and Monbo Mountain Bike Trails

Juniors 13 - 15 Juniors 12 and Under

The Event:  The 2008 Cackalacky Cup will be highlighted by two very different mountain bike time trials and a afternoon of fun and games. The first time trial will be a technical time trial held on the four mile Itusi loop. There will be four different obstacles on the course.  The second time trial will be an all out speed time trial.  The winners will be determined by the combined times of both time trials.   

Registration: There will be NO race day registration.  This event will be capped at 200 participants.

Registration is available online at www.active.com  or fill out a USA Cycling Standard Athletes Release form and mail to Charlotte Sports Cycling with the proper payment.  The form can be downloaded from the event website at www.charlottemtnbike.com .

All participants under the age of 18 MUST have a guardian sign the participant release form. Registration includes entry into both mountain bike time trials, lunch, swag bag and your name in the raffle to win an awesome prize.

If you do not have an annual USAC mountain bike license, you may purchase a one-day license for $5.  All Expert participants must  have an annual USAC mountain bike license.
Prizes
Trophies and swag will be given to the top three finishers in each category.  Places will be determined by the combined times of both time trials.

8:30AM - First rider off for Technical Time Trial on Itusi Trail
11:00AM - First rider off for Time Trial on Monbo Trial
12:00PM to 2:00PM - Lunch Served
12:30PM - Speakers (see below)
1:00PM to 3:00PM Da FREE Bike Games - Bike Toss, Tire Changes, Trike Racing etc.
2:00PM Awards Ceremony
6:00PM to 8:00PM - Food and Open house at First Flight Bikes

Sunday, August 24
7:30AM Meet in the parking lot behind First Flight Bikes
8:00AM  Leave First Flight Bikes for Pisgah Forest, near Asheville, for 4-5 hours of riding
