Event Insurance Information |
| For 2006, all Charlotte
Sports Cycling off-road events will be sanctioned with the National
Off-Road Bicycle Association (NORBA). In the past Charlotte Sports
Cycling has carried private insurance for all off-road events.
In 2004, the private insurance rate premiums more than
tripled. In order to keep the winter and summer entry fees as
minimal as possible, CSC opted to sanction all events with NORBA.
NORBA has made many changes for 2006 that will cater more to
promoters and the riders. First and foremost, please
understand this is still a local series. Sanctioning these events
with NORBA will make the series a better event. Riders
participating in the series will receive points towards State and
National Rankings....pretty cool.. Please review the following
changes for 2006 |
| 1)
There will not be a NORBA one-day license fee for non-licensed
riders. There will be two different rates for licensed
and non-licensed participants: |
| |
Winter Series:
Entry Fee = $18; NORBA Licensed Riders = $13 |
| |
Summer Series:
Entry Fee = $13; NORBA Licensed Riders = $10 |
| 2)
Expert participants must have a NORBA license, the Semi-Expert
category is considered a sport category. There will be a
short grace period for Expert participants. |
| 3)
All categories will remain the same. |
